Hyundai Will Launch Casper

In 2022, the Hyundai Casper is slated to arrive in India. The Casper, Hyundai’s newly launched mini SUV, would not be available in India. Instead, it will be available solely in South Korea with a choice of 100PS 1-litre or 67PS 1-litre MPI turbo-petrol engines, with both manual and automated transmissions. 17-inch alloy wheels, LED illumination, and sunroof are standard on the Casper. It will also have connected car technology, an 8-inch touchscreen interface, and auto air conditioning.

Engine as well as Specifications

This will be available with a 1.0-litre MPi engine generating 68bhp and 95Nm and paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, although it is anticipated that Hyundai will also supply a five-speed AMT.

Exterior Design

The Casper has a small, upright form with many chunky parts to provide it a huge look. Rounded low-set headlamps, a wide silver grille, as well as LED DRLs towards the top round out the face, a characteristic that’s become standard on Hyundai SUVs in recent years. The Casper has square wheel arches, an upright attitude, flush doorknobs for the second column, and huge wheels to finish the whole SUV look. The rear gets a huge bumper with massive tail lamps plus LED indicators for a more luxurious look.

Interior and Characteristics

The cabin is largely black with white accents in the chairs, according to the pictures. In terms of proportions, it’s projected to be in line with the segment, and it’ll be about 100mm lower than the Venue compact SUV. Weather control, a touchscreen infotainment unit, 6 airbags, driver height levelling, a digital instrument panel, and a rear armrest featuring cup holders are all anticipated to be included within the India-spec car.

Seating Capacity

The Casper will have a seating capacity of five people.

Rivals

When it arrives in India, it’ll still sit just below Venue, a small B-segment SUV, and become the smallest SUV within South Korean automaker’s India lineup. If marketed within India, the AX concept might be valued between Rs 4 to Rs 7 lakh, and we could anticipate Hyundai to announce it at the 2018 Auto Expo.
