6 Top Title Picks of the Weekend – Looop Lapeta, The Great Indian Murder, Rocket Boys

Looop Lapeta on Netflix

This adaptation of Run Lola Run, a German film, stars Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin. The movie, directed by Aakash Bhatia, centres on Taapsee’s character Savi but has only 50 minutes to save her partner Satya (Tahir Raj Bhasin) from a mafia whose funds he has misplaced.

The Great Indian Murder on Disney Plus Hotstar

Pratik Gandhi plays a CBI officer while Richa Chadha plays DCP Sudha Bhardwaj. They must work together to solve the killing of a minister’s son during his party. In this case, there are 6 main suspects. The nine-episode show is based on the book Six Suspects written by Vikas Swarup.

Rocket Boys on SonyLIV

The biographies and accomplishments of India’s two most prominent physicists, Dr Homi J Bhabha and Dr Vikram Sarabhai, are chronicled in this SonyLIV series. Ishwak Singh of Pataal Lok fame is playing Vikram Sarabhai, whereas Jim Sarbh has taken on the role of Homi Bhabha.

One Cut Two Cut on Amazon Prime Video

The comedic thriller One Cut Two Cut is directed by Vamsidhar Bhogaraju and stars Danish Sait in the major role. The comedy sketch follows Gopi, played by Sait, an art and crafts teacher tasked with rescuing the school against four extreme social media protesters who have held it hostage on his first day on the job. The majority of the gags in the movie fall flat.

Suspicion on Apple TV Plus

The series follows the story of a British residents group accused of kidnapping the child of an American public relations specialist. They are adamant about proving their innocence, but would anyone trust them, and are they speaking the truth? Chris Long directs it.

The Tinder Swindler on Netflix

Starring Pernilla Sjöholm and Cecilie Fjellhoy and direction by Felicity Morris. It tells the story of 3 women who used a dating app to find their Prince Charming, only to be duped by a man who burgles them while posing as a diamond mogul.
